Dr. Spina is proud to offer Cerinate Lumineers to his patients and is excited to be one of the few cosmetic dentists on the main line to be certified in the placement of Cerinate Lumineers. Lumineers are a specific type of porcelain veneer that can be used to change the color, shape, and alignment of your front teeth to achieve the smile you have always wanted. The advantage of Cerinate Lumineers is that they require little or no tooth reduction and no painful injection is used.
Cerinate Lumineers are made with new cerinate porcelain that is stronger than porcelain traditionally used for dental veneers. This allows Cerinate Lumineers to be almost as thin as a contact lens without effecting the strength of the veneer. Because they can be both strong and thin, teeth can be prepared for luminers with minimal removal of tooth structure. This conservative procedure often does not require a painful injection and no feeling “numb”. To be able to change the shape, color, and alignment of your smile without damaging your teeth is truly amazing.
