Also, check out the financial benefits of Dr. Spina’s Smile Club.
NOTE: Dr. Spina is terminating all participation contracts with Unicare, all Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Horizon Blue Cross, Anthem, and all Medicare plans in January 2024. This will substantially increase the patient’s financial commitment and copayments of any patient with these insurances. The full extent of that change may not be known at the time of service.
Can Health Spending Accounts / Flex Spending Accounts be used at Dr. Spina’s office?
Yes. The majority of dental work qualifies for payment through HSA/FSA accounts. Crowns, fillings, implants, as well as preventing procedures like cleanings and fluoride are all acceptable HSA/FSA expenses. We can easily provide receipts at the end of the year for tax purposes.
What if Dr. Spina is not a preferred/participating provider with my insurance plan?
First you can certainly be a patient in our practice. With most insurance plans, you can still receive a benefit for your treatment, you can still use your insurance maximum of benefits per year and we will file your claims and do any follow up which might be needed on a claim. We will continue to make affordable payment arrangements for your treatment.
You will likely get payment from them within 2 weeks. Insurance companies are very secretive about how much money they are going to reimburse. We will do everything we can to get your maximum benefit.
If you have a DMO plan, you can certainly be a patient of our practice, but you will not receive any insurance benefit unless you go to your assigned dental office.
Payment Options
We accept most major credit cards including:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Discover
For patients with larger treatment needs, we do offer payment options through Care Credit.
